Can I move to the beach?

I had a very unique opportunity during our Knepp family beach vacation... I was not only IN the photo shoot, but I was the sole photographer for the photo shoot :) This was my first shot at using a tripod & remote to set up the pictures & then participate in them, as well. I'd say the one difficulty was not being able to "see" blowing hair, a kid squinting or someone who needs to move 1" to the right in real time. But overall, I am excited about how these turned out considering our group size, the amount of small children, and the fact that it was like 900% humidity 🥵 The beauty of the sky, water, and naturally reflective sparkling beach is making me want to pack my bags and move to the beach for all of my future photo sessions!!!

We had a delightful week together in Destin, FL to celebrate my husband's parent's 50th wedding anniversary. What a milestone, and what a celebration! We made many special memories at the beach, soaking up sun in the pool, having dinners together, etc.

I'm so thankful this photo shoot worked out. We only had a small window of evenings to choose from because of travel schedules & weather, and the night we chose ended up being one of the only evenings that a pop-up thunder storm didn't roll in! It's been many years since we've been able to get a group family picture, and it's so special to see us all as we currently are. BLESSED!

If anyone wants to fly me along for your next beach vacation to take pictures... just name the week 😂
