This session almost didn't happen. My girls' birthdays fall right over Christmas / New Year's, and then it just got busy. I kept putting it off and eventually almost talked myself out of it.

Pippa turned 6 this year, and Phoebe turned 3. They're getting older and I just didn't know if continuing to do this every year was going to be worth it. As kids get older, they seem to change less year to year, and I reasoned that I already take tons of pics of them, anyway in everyday life.

One weekend afternoon, I had some time and decided to put them in some sweet dresses and do the photo shoot, anyway. And I am SO grateful that I did. I learned the lesson that I often preach to my clients... you will NEVER regret getting pics of your kids taken. But you will likely regret not doing them. You can never go back in time and get back their 3 and 6 year old little selves. But you CAN capture it while you have it.

Here's a peek into my sweet, spunky, sassy & social 6 year old, and my ornery, entertaining, energetic & animated little 3 year old.

If nothing else, these yearly sessions will be a special marker of their sweet sister relationship. I love it that their birthdays are so close (to mine, as well!) and the Knepp girls can all celebrate together. 💕
